We do most of what a matter requires ourselves. Where a part goes to a specialist, it goes as a defined question, with the material assembled and the point at issue set out, so that what comes back can be acted on rather than interpreted.

In whatever form suits the matter, at no charge, and it commits you to nothing.
The note.
A short written account of how we understand the matter and how it would be approached.
It is yours whether or not you take it further.
Specialists.
Not every matter needs one.
Where a part does, the specialist is selected for that part and engaged by you directly.
Updates.
They follow the matter rather than a schedule.
You hear when something has changed, and not otherwise.
Limits
Work that requires a particular authorisation is done by the professional who holds it. We instruct that work and do not hold ourselves out as able to perform it. This is a limit on what we do, not on how far we stay with a matter.
Confidentiality
Confidentiality is assumed from the first exchange, before anything is agreed and whether or not the matter proceeds. A non-disclosure agreement is available on request.
